Curly Wirly Twirly

I am very excited to get back into the swing of blogging. I have gotten into a habit of writing off and on and then being totally dissuaded by voices I can barely even make out internally. I love things that are wild, strange, and slightly quirky. Like a teenager's composition notebook filled with questions and odd doodles I want to sink my fingers into the mystery of things. Complex interests chopped into things that I can know or stand in full wide-eyed wonder of. I can NOT WAIT until I finally get a damn P.O. box so I can start writing and receiving letters again! The three websites I am going to sign up for pen pals through are Postcrossing, Geek Girl Pen Pals, and the Letter Writers Alliance. I have done a heavy amount of research into decent pen pal sites due to the unfortunate event of my past where I just looked for pen pals willy nilly and ended up with a few too many prisoner letters. I am just not personally interested in that kind of thing so it was on me to DO THE DAMN RESEARCH.

Whew! Anyhow, that's where I'm currently at and I am chomping at the bit to sign up through those websites. There are so many great letter writing blogs out there too for inspiration. Do you know of any that you personally like? If so I would love to hear! I don't know what it is about snail mail that inspires me so. Perhaps it is like a sailor waiting to see the lighthouse beacon in the distance. It's a way to feel here and vibrant and alive. A living art of communication that is so dearly human!
